THE JOURNAL

Editorial standards

How we approach evidence, translation, bylines and corrections.

Sources and factual scope

Articles prioritise primary sources such as regulators, public institutions, recognised health bodies and manufacturers’ documentation. Source links are attached to relevant sections and collected at the end. A citation is background evidence for the topic described, not an endorsement of the publication. A general source must not be presented as proof of a precise numerical claim it does not make.

Examples, changing rules and uncertainty

Worked amounts are illustrations unless stated otherwise. Interest rates, fees, product terms, admission windows, scheme eligibility and local utility rules can change. We avoid guaranteed income, savings, health outcomes or equipment life. Where a decision depends on an individual contract, health condition or vehicle model, the article should make that limit clear and point readers to the responsible provider.

Languages and bylines

Each edition is intended to provide a full explanation with the same factual scope. A language credit identifies the edition, not an independently verified translator’s credentials. All contributor names are editorial pen names; profiles explain their subject remit and status. We do not attach invented professional titles, field interviews or personal testing claims to these identities.

Corrections and commercial material

Email [email protected] with the article URL, the passage in question and a reliable reference where possible. Significant factual changes should be explained in a correction note. The banners in this edition promote sections and reader tools within the journal; they are not paid third-party advertisements. Any future sponsored or affiliate material must be clearly labelled.
